Uther 1

Another phototraced uther. In this image, you can see how the uthers carry their young that are too young to fly on their own. In fact, an uther isn't technically "adult" until it has already borne its first offspring; the offspring sort of act as "eyes in the back of the head" by alerting its parent of potential threats that the parent can't see. This is due to the facts that 1) it's eyes are pretty much on the sides of its head and can't see through its body; 2) its second pair of eyes have atrophied; and 3) its sonar faces forward.
